SEO Newport (“I,” “me,” “my”) provides on-site AI training and business automation consulting to small businesses in Newport County, Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. This policy explains what information this website collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. I keep it short because I collect very little.
What I collect
When you request a free visit. If you fill in the visit request form, I receive the information you choose to give:
- your name
- your business name
- your phone number and email address
- your town
- the best way to reach you
- anything you write about your business
When you contact me directly. If you call, text or email me, I receive your contact details and whatever you include in your message.
When you simply visit the site. Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. My hosting provider uses these to keep the site running and secure. When you visit the site, the visit is recorded as data that shows what area of the country the visitor is in. It also sees then IP address
What I don’t collect
- This site does not sell anything online and never asks for payment details.
- The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a cookie only if you log in, which visitors do not need to do.
- The fonts and drawings on this site are served from this website itself, so loading the page does not send your information to font or image services.
How I use your information
I use what you send me only to:
- reply to you and arrange your free visit
- prepare for and carry out the work you ask me to do
- send you a written plan, quote or follow-up you have asked for
- keep ordinary business records
I do not sell, rent or trade your information. I do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
Who else sees it
Your form request is stored in this website’s private dashboard and emailed to me. It passes through my website hosting provider SCHOCK HOSTING and my email provider SCHOCK HOSTING who handle it only to deliver the service to me. I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.
Your business information during training
When I train your team or set up AI tools at your business, we will agree together on what information goes into those tools and what never does. I do not copy your customer records, financial information or confidential files to my own systems unless you ask me to for a specific task. When the task is finished, I delete them or return them to you.
How long I keep it
I keep visit requests and messages for as long as they are useful for our working relationship and my normal business records. After that I delete them. You can ask me to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to:
- tell you what information I hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
Just email VIA THE CONTACT FORM. I will respond within a reasonable time, usually within a few business days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under the law of your state, and I will honor them.
Children
This website is meant for business owners and their staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect the information you send me. These include a secure (https) connection when the site has one, a private website dashboard, and up-to-date software. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send highly sensitive information, such as passwords or account numbers, through the form.
Other websites and services
This site mentions Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, and may link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them. SEO Newport is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with Anthropic.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle information, I will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
